I’m here… With myself!!

May be you were right, may be I was lonely…

I’m here, at my desk, tabbing the keyboard like I know where it will take me. The colleagues pretend that they know me & are with me. But they aren’t even close to being in the vicinity of knowing me!

I’m here, at my place, waiting for the sun to go down & present me a lovely morning light once and for all.

I’m here, with office gang, raving up the night at a pub, rock music playing & booties flowing!! Something irks from within, that someone’s missing..

I’m here, riding my bike, knowing that I can’t break the shackles & ride ON!!

This is a new place, new faces, new vibes & new commitments. I have to like it to live it!! But..

I’m here, lonely…

Miss you mom dad, friends & my city…

Who says it’s easy?

Ever came across a moment when your buddies boast of a fun-filled life away from home..? I used to be one of the same kind, but not anymore.

Living away from home, parents & friends is one hell of a lifetime. I can’t forget how I bid them goodbye when they came to see me off, how I managed to keep my tears jammed inside my heart but still failed to do so, how my heart pained while I packed my stuff to go away for long, how they looked at me when they knew they were not gonna see me in a long while & how a tear sprinkled down my face while I wrote this.

I miss home-made food, mom dad’s love & affection, fun we used to have with friends, evening rolls at the Chinese van (yea Som, you know what I mean), endless talks that I shared with the one I love, the eagerness that I felt when dad returned from office n we sat together to watch cricket, how I sat with mom dad upto 10:30 in the night & go for sleep once they slept. I miss home.

I don’t know why I’m not keeping this to me? I don’t know how I’ll manage life here? I don’t know how I’m gonna overcome the blues I’m feeling & walk straight? But it has to go on, coz this is what I’m destined to do. I’m here to work, for myself & for my loved ones so that one fine day I could return to them in good spirits & memories. I miss you friends. And please don’t let my parents know that I wrote this, they will know that I cried & what I was going through while I penned this down. And that would hurt them.

But tell them I love them. Take care…

At Mysore’s end…

Atlast, the Mysore training session has almost seeped to its end. On 8th, we’ll be moving to Bangalore campus. It’s been one whale of a stay in here. Quiet & sound weather with immense green spots around, just mesmerizing.

The people at C-TEA have also been gentle enough to make sure that our stay remains stable & hassle-free. I’m glad that this limited traverse to Mysore turned out to be inspiring enough for the forthcoming challenges. Miss you mummy papa & friends. Love you.

Mysore Darshan

Finally!!!! Been here for weeks & haven’t wandered around “The City Of Palaces” was a little disgracing. And guess what, the L&T HR felt it too & organized an official sight-seeing for our batch in the middle of the week. Wow, that’s something every working class fellow looks forward to.

It was wednesday & all my friends in Delhi & the rest of India were working as they do. The ET 2011 gang was ready to roll. The to-do list designed by the officials at L&T was fascinating as well. Mysore palace, Karanji Lake, Bird Sanctuary, Chamundi Hills (Chamundeshwari Temple) & Brindavan Gardens summed up the schedule. Beating the heat we traveled all the way to the top of Chamundi Hills where resides the Chamundeshwari Temple just 13 kms from the Mysore city. Next stop was the Karanji Lake all equipped with an inbuilt Bird Sanctuary and a lake boating facility. Then came the lunch stop at Pizza Corner where for the first time in Mysore we actualy hoped on to some delicious pizzas.

Next to roll on was the Mysore Palace situated in the center of the city. The palace is one big thing I must tell you. Seemed like the emperor had to shed out a lot of cash to build that whale of an empire. None of our business though ;) Then finally the treat came up, Brindavan Gardens situated in the outskirts of the city. This part was pure fun. Musical fountains, eye-catching fountain arrangements & awesome greenery were enough to take a toll on our minds. The musical fountain thing was one must-do in my list & it occured so well.

The day was filled with anxiety & energy, all tired & famished, we reached the guest house at 8 in the evening.

Whatever it may be, however a complete Mysore Darshan in that one day was something I can never forget. Thanks to my colleagues who tagged along & contributed to the memories.

A government affair

After a week long training session at L&T C-TEA, Mysore we have been shifted to Government Tool-room & Training Center, Mysore for hands-on training of some machining operations with some of the most sophisticated tool room infrastructure at Mysore.

GT&TC develops batch-production components for eminent organizations like ISRO, Rolls Royce, ABB & many more. It was an enriching experience with the best-in-the-business tool-room facilities & being taught the basics of tool designing by the experts with experiences similar to my entire age. Industrial visit took us to a completely different toll & bring about the best that we could extract from.

Missing home already however wanna return to home with a whole world of experiences & skills. Moving ON now… Take care folks! Will update with my new number soon.

It’s a new start…

Time changes when we start to believe it does.

How are you friends? I’ve finally landed on the soil of Karnataka after seeping through a 4 hour delay of my flight. Reached the guest house arranged by the company for a month’s accommodation. 31st Jan was a tiring day, first due to a delayed flight I ended up with some pain in my ass & a long 4 hour journey in a private bus from Bangalore to Mysore further amplified it. But a nice sleep in a well-kept & clean room was surely a soothing gesture.

Howz Mysore? People here are well-spoken, supportive, a lil black :P & very helpful. And cherry on the cake, a majority of them understand & speak Hindi. Communication problems are staying away. The accommodation is good, nicely served dinner is delicious & known, not just South-Indian stuff, people here enjoy all kinds of delicacies. I’m glad!!!

Aanchal: I’m missing home, mom-made food, dad’s blessings & you, but I’ve started off with a new spirit. I’m gonna hold on to it :)

Someshwar: Wassup ass? I’m not crying to be back home. It’s a well-earned life bro, will not let it slip. Dhyan rakhio apna kaminey.

Sunny & Karan: Take care bro. You’ve got double responsibilities big time brother! One for mom & dad and the other for my loving Bike.

The first day at L&T was fun & work and we were welcomed with a warm gesture. The HR team made us enlighten the holy diyas & wished us a bright future with L&T.  I was highly honored to be here & receive this respect.

Never thought I’d get such enduring welcome at an mnc this soon. I’m proud that I’ve earned it. And so are my parents & friends. That’s why this holds good, “Time changes when we start to believe it does.” Will update soon with some pics & more experiences. Till then,

Visit to Photofair 2011

It was a life-changing experience for budding enthusiasts like me & Aviral, while a mind-boggling one for experienced clickers viz Jackson V George, Ruchi Sachdeva & Ashish Rawat. It all started from an online Facebook event page where we all met & realized the need for a visit to Photofair 2011.

The event was organized by All India Photographic Trade & Industry Association (AIPTIA) in association with India’s elite photography magazines like Asian Photography, Better Photography & Smart Photography. The event was supposed to be an immense platform for companies into Digital Photo Imaging, Video Products, Multi Media & Post Production Services and Photographic Products, to showcase their product range to the Indian photography fraternity & a wide exposure for Photography enthusiasts & experts from all over India.

Jackson sported his Canon EOS 400D while Ashish flaunted his photographic skills with his Nikon D3000. Ruchi missed her 500D, for she couldn’t bring it on for the exhibition. As far as I & Aviral go, we were there to learn a thing or two about photography. It was an amazing time spent checking out the coolest & most sophisticated DLSR Cameras & Imaging Devices, collecting pamphlets that carried various specs of the eye-candy equipments & chilling out at foot-hills of Pragati Maidan’s deserted pavilions. The market giants in Photographic forte like Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Fujifilm showcased the latest series of equipments.

The above photograph was clicked my Ashish while we posed for him as well as the Olympus guys.

It was a long day. We were exhausted & couldn’t hold on to our zeal more. Aviral & I hopped on to the not-so-funky Burgers while Ruchi settled for some Grilled sandwich. Others were ambitious enough to walk upto the Bengali market, CP. On the course, we gulped down some delicacies & enjoyed the street food as well. Photography lessons were on for the entire time, coming from the clicking pros. Now I feel like getting on the track & trying a stint with photography in the near future.

It was fun to meet like-minded people. From out-of-the-pocket expenses on eatables, selling brown sugar on streets, hopping onto some Chinese street food & sharing talkies related to photography & chocolate fudge, oops, spare that one, to a successful visit to Photofair, it all looked framed tight.

Thanks Jackson, Aviral, Ruchi, Ashish & Mamta for the wonderful day.

God’s gift to Cricket…

1000 salutes to the man who didn’t give up, the who didn’t follow the straight road, the man who never backed down, the man who didn’t let his followers down, and most importantly the man who kept going when the going got tough. The World’s Greatest Cricketer, an Ace Batsman, a down-to-earth Celebrity, an honest Human being & the man who loves his country & his game: Sachin Tendulkar, deserves all the appreciation in any scholar’s vocabulary.

50 Test-match Tons, now that’s something even the almighty God will be proud of. No other cricketer has ever gone near to this mark in the 133 year old history of Test Cricket. Words aren’t enough to pen down the gratitude that the God of Cricket has embedded in every cricket lover’s heart. “I never thought it would happen, it was written, so it happened. I was just enjoying my game”, the selfless centurion said after his World class innings in Centurion, South Africa today.

Playing cricket was his hobby. He used to wander around in the streets of Mumbai holding his bat & playing Gali-Cricket. What made him take his game seriously was an undisputed World Cup win by India in 1983. And after that day, there was no looking back. And today, Sachin has shattered every possible record in the cricketing fraternity. He owns the pitch once he steps up & play his heart out. This enthusiasm & energy in the age of 37 with a challenging game profile could let anyone back down but not the Little Master.

He’s undoubtedly the maestro image that every individual can look forward to & learn from. A “God’s gift to Cricket“, that’s what they call him. I am proud to be born in the era of Sachin Tendulkar, aren’t you?

Embrace the master,

A close encounter…

Would you like to have some hot chocolate darling? Katrina Kaif asked me holding my hand on that chilling evening in Paris. The cold breeze was enough to jeopardize the distances between us. I was in my wonderland already. My dreamgirl, Katrina Kaif was with me. She was in love with me & so I was. I could feel the warmth when she held my hand close to her body, Ohh my Goshh.. Words are not enough to describe the ecstasy. Though Salman was there too, but all he could manage to do about me hanging around with Kat was stare.

I almost felt like the Alice of Alice in Wonderland, ignoring the gender issues. Katrina Kaif, whom I’d admire when she flashed by my television screen & when my PC’s screensaver popped up with her pictures, was actually accompanying me. “I was on top of the world” would be an understatement to describe what I was feeling. I could capture what she was trying to communicate through her double-shot-vodka eyes. She was falling in immense love with me & I was already thinking of making a living with her you know, two kids, a big home by the memory lane, flowery curtains, traditional fireplace, a comfortable bed, the scent of roses & splendid colors of orchids.

What I could recollect next was something like, “Wake up you grossy dumbass. Who’s gonna clean up the mess in your room? Get up!! Don’t have a job & sleep like a pig…” Those homely words were my father’s. Rest you can always figure out yourselves.

A lively thought, though in a dream, but I actually lived a few hours with someone real close to my Dreamgirl. Love you Katrina.
